Which engine is this as I have not seen it before ?

I was trying to work out if the rivets for the tubeplate are hidden under that front section of lagging, cause to my mind there looks to be a lot of distance between the smokebox and cylinder. If you imagined it had a headstock on it, it would be further back.

its Ex Kinross CC and Donald Stewart, Should carry an SV reg no (quite correctly). As noted a roller, just like Mine Ex's

This Aveling spent a few years on display at the Garrett museum when it was in its original form (roller).

Well, weren't we lucky with the weather!! During the mass clear up on Monday it persistently rained, but everything heavy was either off the grass already or tucked up in its shed back home!

What's the roller with no identity.

Also of intrest there were a few engines I hadn't seen inculding this Marshall Traction Engine, NO.51007, Which returned form Tasmania in 2002.

It was a three speeder as well....was this original??

If you mean the Wallis Advance? it is 7886 of 1926 10 ton reg number MK 6762.

Looking back in a previous thread this is a different Aveling (No. 8796) belonging to ShottendenAveling and not No. 8632 as noted above by Museum Driver. Apologies for that.
