Confirmed canceled rally's
 

I am putting this on here as the weather is really bad my neck of the woods (bedfordshire) and would like to know if anyone has information on rally's that are being canceled that can help ever one else who is still worried about forth coming events. I know St Albans is canceled

Anyone have any more info.

Come down to Amberley midsummer steam rally, there is only tarmac, no chance of getting stuck or it being cancelled!

Tavistock Steam & Vintage Fair definately ON for Sunday 10th June as it is on Tarmac. Recently restored Tritandem 45655/1930 as featured in the June issue of Vintage Spirit will be in steam.

This was going to be the first of the season as Rushden and Stoke Goldington got cancelled and it's bloody June!

Astwood Bank is cancelled- would have saved 70 mile round trip.
Nice pint in Alcester though.

I feel so sorry for the organisers who've spent 11 months putting the event together, only to have to pull it a week or so before. No doubt they will have incurred significant cancellation costs.

I've had 5 events cancelled so far this year, and in several cases (like this weekend) the weather has been fine, though I realise the ground is still saturated.

Informed yesterday that Coppice [ Trowell] rally w/e 15/16th June deferred until w/e 15/17th September.

Marsworth is cancelled this Sunday

Rockingham Castle Rally

Rockingham Castle Rally this coming weekend 30th June & 1st July has just been cancelled. :(

During the foot and mouth crisis a number of rallies were rescheduled to the later part of the year, September/October. Bearing in mind that it can't rain forever I wonder if this would be a viable option for some.

Coppice and Belper have been rescheduled for September both on the same weekend! Elvaston rescheduled to September a couple of years ago after being rained off in July however gate receipts were down. Elvaston & Rempstone have decided not to & have cancelled this year. With so many rescheduled rallies it is difficult to find a suitable weekend in September. Good weather in October tends to be a lottery. Then again you could say that of every month. With a lot of rallies surviving on tight margins its probably too risky to leave until late in the year.

Just seen presswood chiltern steam rally is cancelled due to water logged site.

Barton Gate (Nr Burton upon Trent) is also cancelled.

Bodelwyddan Castle rally in North Wales has been cancelled this weekend.

Redbourn cancelled this coming weekend

Woodcote now showing on their website as cancelled for this coming weekend, but looking to possibly re-schedule in September

West Oxon Steam rally to be held at Ducklington near Witney has been cancelled.
It was due to be the 21st-22nd July.

I see that the Weymouth & Portland show is cancelled.
(Was to have been this coming weekend.)

Birdingbury this comming week end is postponed untill the last week end in september.

Great Yorkshire show this weekend at Harrowgate has been cancelled, as seen on BBC weather watch last night, apparently for the first time ever.

Newby Hall Vintage Car Rally
 

I know it's not steam.
But the big vintage car rally due to be at held Newby Hall near Ripon on the 15th has been cancelled today.

We haven't missed exhibiting for the last sixteen years, so its a real shame.

Just heard on radio, Kernow old vehical club rally in Cornwall cancelled for this weekend,

Just been informed by Dave Hoyles that the Erewash Steam and 40s Event at West Park, Long Eaton, Notts has now been cancelled for 2012 and there's no plans to run it later in the year either *cry

Welland posponed until September 21st, 22nd & 23rd.

Potton End / Dacorum postponed to 29/30 Sept.

Cromford is cancelled.

Yep I can confirm Cromford cancelled I'm really p...ed off. Had a phone call this morning at 10am. So I'm going to find a hill with a pub at the top and take the engine for a run and blow the soot out of the tubes and any thing else i can move!:(
