Hi Clive
Do you mean the Three Greyhounds, Northwich Road Cranage, on the cross road, next to Shakeley mere?

davy 29th March 2012 06:38 PM

And your training the wife to play silly buggers*think

Engine John 29th March 2012 06:40 PM

That be the one Bryn.

You could add the junction with Middlewich rd into the mix if you wanted as I will be using that to travel on from Knutsford!

John

davidje 29th March 2012 07:07 PM

We will be there. It's closer for us. There's a bit of parking at Shakerley Mere if the pub CP gets full. It's a busy junction so take care. Is there a reason for the change that we need to know about?

No and yes Bryn, according to the landlord it's Holmes Chapel Road, and yes it is next to Shakeley Mere.

Good choice Clive, I think the Three Greyhounds is a prime location and will bring in a lot of passing punters when they see the smoke, the food is good as well, will see you there.

Flashback 8th April 2012 12:29 PM

All coming together well. The landlord is also trying to arrange a wider range of beers available for the weekend, it could be turning into a Beer Festival with steam and vintage vehicles. I feel a headache coming on already. Brian and I are now trying to get both the Miniature Showman's to the event as its not far from us and we are looking for a few more engines to attend.

Hope the weather is nice.....

suzukiman 8th April 2012 01:16 PM

I should be there for a day (or two) with the 4" Ruston (hopefully). My prayers have been said for good weather. :D

Cheers

Hi all

An update from the Landlord for the Three Greyhounds, he is organising a mini beer festival and we have got use of the field behind the car parkfrom the farmer who uses the land for parking caravans, tents trailers and low loaders. He is also organising a bouncy castle and face painting for kids of all ages and is trying to make it into a small country event.

The address is: The Three Grey Hounds, Holmes Chapel Road, LAch Dennis/Alostock (Cross Roads), Knutsford, WA16 9JY

Lets make it a good turn out for the start of the Cheshire Season

I will be taking photo's so you need to tell me if you have had your face painted or not. It's hard to tell with some people.

Flashback 13th April 2012 06:19 AM

David I will be the good looking one you can't miss me...ask my twin brother he will agree with you

piecrusty 13th April 2012 11:14 AM

Dwain, would 'soot' & 'sulphur' colour be an appropriate face paint for your self and Brian?:D If so James and I can eagerly help you with this at the Three Greyhounds! With our filthy chimney and the bag of coal James found hiding in the trailer the other day it should come out just right, half of it was slack and the rest beautifully marbled with a bright yellow line! ;)

We can probably make you smell authentic too, bit like a burger van, when J. has put all the food in the smokebox!!

Hope your praying for good weather?thumbsup

Mark.

I should getting there around 9.30, for those of you who want to get there before hand, we are dispalying engines in the back car park and camping will be on the field behind the back car park.

The Landlord goes by the name of Dennis and is very helpful.
