Some photos taken at Burseldon yesterday, the Burrell Gold Medal tractor 'May Queen' disappeared as soon as I arrived and I didn't see it again. A very enjoyable event, I'd not seen A&P 11215 before, so a very pleasant bonus

Roger 14th April 2008 09:27 PM

Sorry, no I missed it altogether! didn't get there till 6pm, Work was to blame for lateness , was visiting family as well and walk was pleasant, so journey not wasted.
Cheers Rog
Edit aha, realised, you are replying to Mini Cooper.

Stuart H 14th April 2008 09:58 PM

Hello all,
It was a good day really. We did try to thank everyone on the day but we probaly missed a few people. So thankyou to all who attended, I mean all, not just the steam displays. Now we have more space in the yard it makes things easier.
Things went so well I didn't even have time to clean the brass on the roller before we went on the trolly. Also nice to see the roller on the TEP.
Regards
Stu.

Correct May Queen, I travelled down from East Anglia by train, and left about 2pm to head back home, just made the station as the heavens opened.

Hi,

Yes it is a 10 Ton DNA Single.

Funny that you should ask about help, I can always do with some extra input. You will have to come & have a chat @ the SAC Day, if your interested?

Cheers

Dan

aveling1992 21st April 2008 08:34 PM

Matt

I went with the roller for the 50th rarely seen engines, but not since. Maybe talked into applying for going again one day.

Dan

1) Fowler Single Cyl Traction Engine 'Volunteer'

2) Marshall Single Cyl Roller 'Major Henry'

3) Aveling Compound Tractor 'Little Lucy'

4) Aveling Compound Roller '11215'

5) Garrett Traction Engine 'Olive'

6) Burrell Gold Medal 'May Queen'

7) Fowler Single Cyl Roller 'Adagio'

That's all the full size that I know of at the moment, that is already on site. They maybe some others on the day.

As far as miniatures go, I will have to stand back from more superior knowledge.

Dan

Maybe you should try reading the thread properly - burseldon brickworks open day has been and gone - but burseldon brickworks steam apprentice day is this Sunday. Why would we move to the thread to the show reports section when the event hasn’t happened yet?

Surely if you want to advertise an event this weekend a seperate thread would be more rewarding ?

After all it takes some trawling through to get to a mention of this weekends event.

Is the apprentice day open to the public ?

Tend to agree with Matt on this. If its open to public stick a pointer to it by posting its own thread. Hope it goes well, has anyone noticed how quiet Adagio is on the road?
Cheers Rog
