Can somebody give me an idea where to get a XXL SODEM sweatshirt from?
Thanks, George. |
Why oh why can't we organize something in Essex like this ? ? ?
I'd be willing to help with the organization and take part, I don't yet have the knowledge or contacts. And I ain't going to get them sitting here, looking at other people enjoy their engines. So come on Essex, we are way behind. Sod Christmas, that's the 25th of December NOT NOW. |

Looked a very good event and perhaps a better way to enjoy an engine with good company, good beer, good fun.
Sadly I didn't quite get things sorted with machining so stayed and sulked & sucked me thumb, boo hoo !! |
Could have sworn there was a Stanley steam pickup on the run, must have been too quick for your lens!

Davy the gist of the run is that there is a travelling scrappie who visits and brings some weighing scales and its a chance to see what you can get for your engine. He used to bring the cutting gear but a one legged midget on a unicycle used to grumble that the detritus left by the cutting up kept causing punctures so now its just a pocket weighbridge, a donkey and some sacks to carry the metal away. A bit like 'cash for gold' really. Normally some do quite well and has been known for some engine owners to go away with an amount in double figures. !!! *cry |
