Malpas 2011

A couple of snaps from today:

By special request I've been asked to post the following photos as well!

It was interesting to note how over at the stone crushing / road building arena it was the women who were hard at work, whilst the men stood around drinking...

However, Karina was later spotted hanging around for a go on the 'baby bouncers':

Take the strain

Take aim

...and FIRE!

Of course, what goes up does tend to come back down again!

Whilst Malpas is an excellent rally and I go every year, the car park is miles away, I'm totally bollxd by the time I get to the pay lanes and then having to circumnavigate the rally field several times, talking to every man and his dog and drinking several mugs of tea, then trying to remember where the toilets are, then chatting to Jack Schofield on his Gallopers and holding on for grim death as it goes round at 100mph (it feels like that) then getting off and feeling sick, by this time my 60 odd year old knees are packing up, time for another painkiller, what day is it?...Rant over, cant wait, be there for dinner, knee support bandages in place brilliant.

Brilliant day at Malpas, spoke to a few engine owners, nice brew and a piece of cake from young Seddon, nice selection of miniatures, commercials, tractors etc, thanks to those in the military section that kept me topped up with tea, all round a superb rally, us Cheshire lads can do it.

Shhhhh Bryn - The missus hasn't clocked that we scoffed all the cake!!! ;)

One thing is for certain, there must have been some load on the crusher for the flywheel spokes to bend like that!
