Lincoln Steam & Vintage

Well what another great rally, weather great, and the the chap on the PA was exceptional, bumped into Keny1, think I saw bugger off and one or 2 more.
and who said its a no movement rally, there was lots of movement.
the circuit of tarmac road round where the engines stood was being used as a play pen, and there is always one who wants to go the wrong way round. if the weather holds out it should be a good day tomorrow

tiny 20th August 2011 07:29 PM

thanks for the PA compliment!!!

David is quite right, there was movement and no one told us off for doing so, full marks to the organisers for a very good and well organised show. There were lots of great engines and very friendly owners and drivers.
Just got the engine back and steaming it up to get in back in the shed. Heard lots of comments about our engine that is is a 6 inch scale one! (Most people got it right!)

James

Ive been to all 26 rallies, got to say never seen so much engine movement as this year, keep it up
:)

A nice selection of engines, good to see 'Supremacy' Lady Raglan and the big Robey .
I thought it was strange that the Red Arrows didn't do their usual flyby. Unfortunately I've just found out they have had a fatal crash at Bournemouth airshow with the loss of one pilot. Our thoughts are with his wife, family and team mates.

thanks for the chat I had with you James, Nice engine by the way. Keep it up mate. Many thanks.

Dont know what movement you saw,we were in the fairground all weekend and saw virtually nothing move exept after tea when engines made there way to the beer tent area.Cracking weekend, the first time we had stayed over night.

The Red Arrows came over on Wednesday before going to Bournmouth. So sad to hear about the loss of one of the pilots. Condolences to everyone who knew him especially his immediate family.

I don't know why but Sentinels dont look 'right' unless they have 24's (or 22's) on Sankey split rims on the front.

I can see why owners are going away from them, but they look crap. And yes Stuart I know yours should be on silly little wheels.

A lovely waggon, shame about the colours and the silly front wheels, glad to see her back in Yorkshire again.

Chris.
