Had a good day at this event. Spent a long time looking over a beautiful Foden Traction while wearing my Traction-Talk tee-shirt. I hoped that some members would have been around to meet and chat with, but non approached me.
Photos to follow.

I presume you mean a T-T tee-shirt?
As Chairman of The Durham Mining Museum (www.dmm.org.uk) I have a business contact who puts photos on coffee mugs and on glass chopping boards (several t-t members now have glass chopping boards showing their own engines and one has coffee mugs with photos of his children with traction engines). He also does good tee-shirts, but needs a minimum order from me for 6 shirts to keep postage costs down. The minimum order is for the shirts, not of one design - there can be 6 different designs in the minimum order from me. The shirts cost around £18 plus postage to you. What you get is the Traction-Talk emblem on the front with your username underneath and on the back a large print of your choice (I used my Avatar) plus "I am a member of Traction-Talk" and your username. Not only do you make yourself stand out (If that's what you want) but you also give free advertising for this great Forum.
AS an alternative, you could always take your design to a silk-screen printer of shirts and get it done for yourself, but you would need to get an image of the T-T emblem and permission to use it..

A nice friendly small event. I hope they did well. There seemed to be a good turn-over of visitors with a free bus service from the carparks.

Roy, the guy you needed to talk to about the Foden is standing behind the back wheel. Better luck next time!....

Well spotted Anthony!

Yes Roy, I was standing by the back wheel of our Foden in one of your pictures. I didn't see you though, perhaps you should have asked around.... I'd have been more than pleased to talk with you!

Great pictures Roy, and a first time out for my Fowler living van which travelled behind our Foden to & from the event, about 40-45 miles in total. A cracking little local do for us, only in it's second year, but has already 'ticked all the boxes' for us.

Hope you enjoyed it.

Hi Jim, I know the bottom of the chimney had to have some 'emergency' repairs as it had rotted out, not sure why the chimney top is displaced though... Possibly to re-gain the height lost in the repair?

Sorry to miss you Simon. I did ask around. Spent a lot of time talking to the driver of the Bressingham roller discussing the scarifier and the hammer marks around bolts in inaccessible places. Also had a long interesting chat with the owner of the steam milk float and with the guy looking after the Davy Paxman, discussing the girder on the top of the boiler and its facility of being able to lift the motion off in one piece. Also chatted with the guy who had the 6inch copy of the full size it was standing by, and a passer-by who called a certain miniature owned by a T-T member a "mobile oil-slick"
