Somerset Steam Spectacular
 

A bit wet on Saturday morning but very quickly dried out and had a brilliant day. Regarding the Mamod record, I think there was a total of 273 (?) . Really good selection of engines and I would say one of the best rallies we've been to this year.

Really good rally. The Friday road run was very enjoyable, knowing we were taking Burrell 2003 through the area where it had spent most of its working life.

I thought the run to the pub was also very good. I would also like to thank Tony Beaching and family on taking on the Mamod record.

The run to the pub on the saturday was absolutly FANTASTIC!! Iv never seen so many exhibits off the field on a run... You'd call that a show up here!!!

Good pics JR. Do you remember when all the engines got into the car park at Eli's & nobody thought of the field next door, now its like a rally in itself! As for getting to the 'bar' !!

Yes, David, it is indeed 10780, bought at the Thursford auction and now owned by a TT member from Crewkerne. This was I think its first rally appearance.
