Indeed John.
A superb weekend. |
thirded, super laid back rally, even the weather wasn't so bad, think the injun ran better on coal than straw though...!
|
Yes, I met a few new friends with engines, I did not get around to talking to Blackjack as I was far to busy, sorry Paul.
Best rally I have been to this year as far a trade stands, auction and don't forget the Can Can girls. Thanks again Richard and Gareth. I have some photo's, but will only upload if requested as I sure most of what I have everyone has seen before! |
steve if you have some of our portable on the drum on sunday that'd be good, i was too busy to get any, but it was nice to have her working at her debut rally (except for bf's fireworks party last year)
|
Guess what I did not have the camera with me!
|
I had a good weekend - thanks to Richard and Gareth for a well organised laid back time.
Be back next year with luck. |
Great show
As above, thanks to Richard and Gareth and co.
We had a great weekend, the weather made things a little more interesting, Spudding up the plougher to get to the top of the ploughing field. From where saturday afternoon, could spy a good many engines at the scrumpy bar. Roll on next year thumbsupthumbsup Team Hay :) PS any photos out thier?? |
thanks to you all coming it was a great weekend (,relaxed the way we like it after all its only a hobby)
any photos would be great to see on here. thanks again gareth |
We also had a great weekend but then we always do at Much Marcle it is one of the best and most relaxed rallies we do.
I would like to thank all of the Hall Family they all work so hard to make it a good weekend along with the rest of the team. |
As ever was a excellent, for me having the birthday bumps outside was Cider bar a memorable moment, thought they were going for the full 46 untill i mentioned i felt sick then for some reason they all stopped !

i recon its all to do with that apple juce the chap was selling, as V8Spider pointed out it looked suspicously like boiler treatment, and he was probably getting revenge on basil for showing the kids to knock his bowler off by throwing apples at him rather than their scratter!

As mentiones elsewhere, many thanks to Gareth and Richard for looking after us all so well, Marcle really is a friendly rally.
I took a few pictures, mainly of what we were up to, there may be the odd one of interest to some. This is us having some late breakfast near Wooferton on Thursday morning http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tti/10/008_0528.jpg And parked up on the field on the Thursday afternoon. http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tti/10/008_0529.jpg The rain stopped eventually on Saturday, so I did some cleaning. http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tti/10/008_0530.jpg and Nerys had a play on the Mann at the pub on the Saturday evening, she was thoroughly dissapointed when James had adjusted the regulator on the Sunday so when she opened the cylinder drains it did not leak! http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tti/10/008_0531.jpg Windymillars portable at work, presumably before he burnt all his coal? http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tti/10/008_0532.jpg and us again at Berrington at 8pm on the Sunday evening 25 of the 40 miles back to the temporary base done. We finished off yesterday morning. http://www.steamscenes.org.uk/tti/10/008_0533.jpg |

A few photos for those who missed the ploughers.

the ploughing was at one point an all ladies team on sunday, and a good job they were doing too.
