We were there with the 4" Ruston and half sized (Toylander) Land Rover Series 1. Had a great weekend with good coal, good running and good company. Well done Pat once again for marshalling the miniatures and sorting us all out!

What better way to spend a weekend is there?

Could it really have been Sellindge? Where was the cloud-burst and mud???

Trust the photo to be taken outside the beer tent,Seems we have trained the Wallis well,Wallis did better than expected,Yes it was me you spoke to,and yes it was me who had problems with the Black pig's rear gear,While coming out of the arena. The Cornish man is getting there and Bob Hobbs is doing a great job and hopes to finnish it this year,Just look at the Foden he done and more,

Bob and his dad are doing a grand job on his Foden, havent seen Burrell yet, but knowing Bob, it`ll be good.

Any photo's of these engines? I remember going down to Kent and see Bob and Bob's Dad's living van! What a masterpiece, not sure if he's ever finished it?

ross anderson 2nd June 2011 10:14 PM

think the living van may go on back of the foden when finnished
But took no photos.Think this will be best when it is finnished

Ahh fair enough. :)

Are you based down in Sellindge as well then Ross?

Unsure on whether I met you a few years back when me, my dad and my now late grandad David Hirst went down there for a trip to see Bob Hobbs and various other people for more of his 'deals' which my grandad did. We turned up in his campervan and I remember sitting in one of the workshops with a group of blokes for ages whilst grandad had a good laugh with them and told them lots of stories etc...

Slightly off topic I know.
