2010 GDSF - Our impressions

I know it's a bit late in the season, but we have just got round to downloading our GDSF photos from various camera memory cards.
We will start with our general impressions of this wonderfull event.

For the sake of a few 1st class stamps to help with post & packing costs, a full set of our GDSF photos and a set of the videos on CD [so they will play on a computer with Windows Media Player] are available for anyone interested.
Just PM me with a postal address and I will do the rest.

I'm sure the picture of the Banshee with smokebox door open and the two gents at the back of it should have a caption along the lines of "I'm sure there should be a jib here somewhere..."

The front mud door was leaking,most prob cause was the missing jib,or too much cider the night before

I would like to thank John W for the nice letter he sent to my Dad and the little brass plate.He got to see a lot of photos of the rally as well as what was on youtube.He just turned 80 on the 11th Oct but also had brother and sister pass away 6 weeks of one another.He saids it looks a great show and wished he could of gone.He also says that TT is the best web site to go on. Garry

Thankyou for posting these photos Roy, couldn't make Dorset this year because of the dreaded work thing, however this post has helped filled the gap! Colin :)

If you can lock the focus, exposure and white balance on a middle area of your target panorama before taking the shots you will get a more successful panorama. Also if you take the shots with your camera on its side and take more frames with about 20% overlap this will also increase the quality and impact!

Walking with 2 sticks and a gammy leg, struggling to balance and stand still taking photos with camera on side (which I usually do) was not an easy option. However thanks for the advice.

Trying to avoid wind noise I spend a long time filming through the only gap in the hedge on the steepest part of The Playpen
