WTD: for 5-ton steam tractor.....

Hello!
Does anyone have a water-lifter for sale, of a suitable size, for a 5-ton tractor? The original was a 'White's No. 3' but will consider anything similar.

Also, for the same vehicle, a' Penberthy' Injector is required.... As these are not readily available, has anyone had experience of a 'Buffalo' injector, or any other make?

Many thanks :)

What size injector is required?

These people supply Penberthy injectors. Give them a ring and see if they can provide a suitable replacement

Hi Craig,
If the injector a standard type, a low pressure, or a high pressure?
Are there any numbers on it? If so can you tell me know what they are please?
Any photos also appreciated :)

Thanks, Naomi

If I get time before the weekend I will post the numbers and photos. Unfortunately at the moment I'm helping set up a festival which starts on Friday. I'm popping home now and again, but everything is rush rush at the moment and I cannot remeber off the top of my head if it was low or high pressure.

Whilst on the phone to the Penberthy man, ask about their jet pump for your water liufter. It is essentially the same thing. There has been one on ebay for a while in the US.

Careful buying second hand injectors. They can be good as useless. A new one is expensive but it is a fit and forget job. They last a lifetime given the amount of use an engine gets in preservation.

Fit a whites and be done with it. ;-)
