A nice turnout today for the Royal Cornwall Show, the weather ensuring a busy Thursday and most probably a record breaking attendance for Friday & Saturday. Camera problems today so not all engines made the post.

I thought you said Royal CORNWALL Show, not seen one cornish engine on the site !!!!!

Cornish engines must be dull steve, it's all about welsh engines and engines from Devon ;)

Gladiator, Enterprise & now Queen Alexandra are Cornish engines surely Steve.

A Foden Steam Tractor of which I don't have a picture unfortunately. Speaking to some friends down there it's owned by a member of WESES (the President?) and rarely shows.

That'd be John Sawle with his very rare Foden Agritractor then...

Thanks Nick, yes that confirms it. Reading on another forum John writes that it is the only remaining engine of its kind with only six being built - I was surprised to learn it was built as late as 1930, but I understand that petrol-paraffin engines weren't commonplace until the mid/late 30's anyway.

Not correct Jim ! they are owned by cornish owners !!

To be pedantic Johns Foden is an 'Agritractor', the only one.

Crawfords in Frithville have a 'Sun' tractor. Again the only one.

Same boiler and engine, one was designed for agricultural use. The other haulage. Similar but different.

Johns Agritractor is ace. I believe I am correct in saying it was driven to the show from Johns home. 30odd? miles.
