I am aware that there are people who like looking round old car, m/cycles I do for one, and put-puts and smelly old tractors old lorries and new ones painted by graphic artists, but not to the detriment of the steam exhibits, be they miniature or full size. I know of some rallies where there is a a waiting list for full size and miniature steam engines, when two thirds of the field is taken up by these other exhibits, I am not advocating a huge cull of these exhibits, but if its a steam rally let's err on the side of the steam engines, As for Miniatures, most of the public like them as they are at eye level for all, and the workings are plainly visible and its something moving to look at. and most people find them fascinating. In fact I still do??
