Tom, GDSF are doing there bit to remember the 100 years of the outbreak of WW1 this year, so knowing the contacts they have it will be another sight to see! I had a good brain storm with one of the guys who is going to organise the WW1 section on Saturday!

I should think the subsoiler sees a bit of action on that land?

I wonder if the Tank Museum at Bovington could be persuaded to send over their running WW1 tank(Foster of course) complete with drivers.

they could bring it with steam, like they did in 1993!!

I'm not sure I'm very comfortable with a profit making organisation coming up with a 'sight to see'. I hope above all that it is respectful.

'Corse it'll be respectful. I for one would love to see a running WW1 tank. They did it perfectly in 1993 from Bovingdon , & also from Swanage I think the next year. The engines were Len Cranes Fowler , Paul Scholeys Fowler, 'Boadicea' 'Clinker' & with Jim Sarneys Burrell from Swanage. But those Gents are all a bit older now, but i'm sure there's some younger ones to fill the gap!?

Paul would be up for it Jim I can assure you even being 70!

We were talking about this last night. Certainly the owners of those engines are a lot older; some no longer active with their engines or no longer associated with them.

But the engines are all still with us with enthusiastic crews.

I know that Martin Oliver will never miss an opportunity to promote the Show, and maybe the road train suggested by Jim could also be used to raise funds for the Royal British Legion or other Armed Forces charities.
