Checking on the dates for this Jim - the tank from Bovington to Dorset was 1995, so I now feel 2 years younger than I did yesterday! |
Couldnt remember the exact years Gary, I like feeling 2 years younger! I'll see if I can put some photos on.

There is apparently compaction, particular in the playpen area and where the showman's engines stand. A certain amount of subsoiling has to be done in those areas I gather. Work is done by contractors as it is the responsibility of GDSF. Your comment re rent etc is probably accurate too!! |
So, any RL owners up for a heavy haulage road run again to comemorate 1914?

http://youtu.be/ES5ozNMebxY Apologies for the very dodgy quality from antiquated video tapes. |
I have a VHS of the entire run that I bought a number of years ago in a charity shop.
It is called "Heavy Steam Driven Haulage". Produced by Pegasus. There is a copy for sale on Amazon. It's a good video. Well worth a watch. |
