Tony its handy when you have a choice

Sams Boy 19th January 2011 04:27 PM

Don't know whether I will be there - It's up to Tony -he is supposed to be organising a sort it session. If it is anything like last years we will agree who is doing what then do something completely different. - Hope to be there though JP

I am merely the lacky John - it is the wealthy owners who have the toys! (but perhaps next year! ;) )

Boys - I am open to bids! to see who goes!

MW / BA - I have Bill's wish list now, so we can start discussions any time you like!

I'd say we get "Pocket Money" rather than Paid. :D

Cheers

Tez ;)

Broken Firebar 20th January 2011 03:18 PM

Surely that is all any of us get as it never covers all the costs - large or small.

I have to say though that John does try hard for the engines that go to Anglesey, and for that he deserves some thanks. I guess that is because he knows what it costs to run a lorry!

myfanwy 21st January 2011 08:15 AM

I know they get something here but not sure how much as it is anther section

I rallied my engine at nine different events last year. Smallest amount was a tenner, largest seventy five quid for two day events. The norm is somewhere in the middle. As Tesco's say "Every little helps!" Lee

myfanwy 23rd January 2011 08:01 AM

Thanks Tony for your remarks

myfanwy 7th February 2011 08:15 AM

We have changed the Pub where we meet so now we will have a longer run in the evening with the engines

The ther side of the island is better James. There are a few trees, and they dont grow horizontally!

myfanwy 8th February 2011 09:12 AM

WE are going to the Holland Arms Hotel which has a good car park and it is sheltered. Some nice long hills for the run

Alan when you get to the top of the hill take the pin out

Broken Firebar 9th February 2011 12:46 PM

myfanwy 9th February 2011 01:26 PM

Tony three & a half miles to four

mugglesquop 9th February 2011 01:30 PM

Tony, its easier if you think of it like this. Go back to the A55. Cross it and head for Gaerwen on the old road. Its about a mile and a half from where you cross the A55.

Broken Firebar 9th February 2011 02:47 PM

I know roughly where it is as JAP arranged for us to leave the low loader in Eric's yard at Gaerwen last year prior to going over the water, just wasnt too sure how much further than the old pup it was.

basil JNR 9th February 2011 02:53 PM

4.9 from henblas so might just get there with roller!!

I think the old pub was in Rhostrehfwa more or less, a couple of miles from the gate into the site.

myfanwy 10th February 2011 08:46 AM

William you maybe right as at the moment I have not recorded the true distance

myfanwy 10th February 2011 08:48 AM

We will have a water bowser with us

basil JNR 10th February 2011 06:10 PM

is there a hose at the pub?

myfanwy 11th February 2011 09:20 AM

The old pub that we went to decided to up our rent from £25.00 a month to £100 .00 so we decided to move. The new pub does not charge at all so that is why we are supporting them on the rally wekend. There is water laid on as well as beer (Beer is not free as yet)

basil JNR 11th February 2011 01:10 PM

so why take a water bowser mann will do 16 miles

probably

myfanwy 11th February 2011 05:17 PM

We will take water for the engines that find it a long distance

basil JNR 11th February 2011 06:54 PM

I see

myfanwy 12th February 2011 07:42 AM

Maybe some of the Miniature steam engines will loke to venture that distance

basil JNR 12th February 2011 07:45 AM

how many engines coming this year then??

myfanwy 13th February 2011 08:39 AM

Bit early yet as you know some people havent put pen to paper yet and you know who and a few others who read here.Get your fingers out
The distance to the new pub is 4.6 miles, I checked yesterday

Sams Boy 14th February 2011 03:55 PM

Sorry John - Not allowed this year!! - may be next year?

myfanwy 14th February 2011 04:00 PM

Mark who is the boss? Send them up here first for a holiday then get your Dad to bring up the engine. By the way do you think Greg would like tp come?

Sams Boy 14th February 2011 04:24 PM

John
In this case - the waggon driver! (If you can't spot him - look down) - not the real boss! - she was OK with it.
I think he would rather bring a less polish / more speed engine
Dad has let his HGV lapse - an age/repeat medical thing
Greg's son is I/C now - will ask him for you.

Broken Firebar 14th February 2011 06:05 PM

Well I did say we would bring two - I just didn't say which!

John, Has Bill had an entry form?

myfanwy 15th February 2011 01:23 PM

Tony e-mail me with his address. I thought he would use one of yours

sawman 15th February 2011 02:33 PM

John
Send it to Tony we can sort it from there.

Bill
