There is a compound one very similar which went to the same owners when new. For a long time Pearl didn't have any kind of brake at all bar the flywheel brake which I am told made things quite exciting in top gear and on strakes. Anyone remember her at Rushmoor rally pulling one of Jim Lowther's ploughing engines around??

Pearl is fitted with a band brake on the 3rd shaft on the footplate, this is fitted with oil resistant brake lining and is very effective.
