LOL, no comment. it was a shame about the weather but was a good laugh once we got going, the hot bits launching out of the chimney kept me warm on the way back!!.
Could try again in the summer months, been told we can use bit of car park then, maybe go to Kensworth and have a pub crawl!!!!
Thanks to all that came!!

Good to meet up with everyone at lunchtime: nice pub. We should definitely do it again in the spring.

Great video's Kev, count me in next year, that looked like some hill no wonder the spuds were over done, did you go back the same way? going down that will my test my boiler mangement skills on the 3". Looked like Roy's had plenty of coal on!
I do love stuarts roller - what's traction like on it?

Yes we went back the same way.
Who is Roy ?

Foden NK5836 18th November 2008 08:44 PM

Excellent videos Kev. the Roller has good grip on the road and was towing 20 gallons of water and a bag of coal with ease, it is surprisingly fast and a bit of a handful with a full head of steam, it also sounds just right on the road. Like all rollers it objects to wet rally fields and cow pats!
