My broker was absolutely clear - do not sign anything which states that you will hold the organisers blameless
in the event of an accident. The NTET then acted to ensure that rallies authorised by them did not have any phrase in the rally
entry form which could invalidate your insurance.

I have come across non-authorised rally entry forms still using improper wording, and have either scored out the inappropriate
section or have discussed the matter with the organiser and have agreed the terms of my attendance and not returned the form.

Phrases such as doing as one is told by stewards, and agreeing that the organiser has the final word in the event of a dispute
still cause problems.

Thank's for clarifying things, I must admit that in 20+ years I have never actually studied the 'small print' on forms.:o I am an exhibitor myself, not with steam though.

Pete.

Hi I'm Ruth Lancaster, representing Smallwood Vintage Rally, been on the show circuit 20 odd years and never heard that one before! I even posted the comments on our Facebook page to see if any of our hundreds of members could throw some light on the problem with the form ...and drew a blank!! Too late to change paperwork for 2016 but we'll have a look at it in depth afterwards. Thanks for all your support and kind words everyone, looking forward to the Rally. 28/29/30 May 2016
