Good atmosphere, and a rally not stuck out in the middle of no where, Rallies in towns have something special compared to a lot of them (not all) in a boggy field! Lots of good friends go, and we all have a jolly time.

Engines can be found on full view all morning, lots of people surround us, we can't move for people and then the crowds are 5 or 6 deep all round the parade, and then again in the centre of town all afternoon, you can't move.

Then Evening entertainments for young and old a like.

Llandudno is a big attraction for families over the bank holiday weekend, everything else is a bonus.

My Favourite weekend of the year, and a good start to the season. I am Biased due to Llandudno being a special place for me anyway.

Only my opinion though!

Lllandudno Extravaganza

No problem with the Parade Route but where do the engines lay up before (and afterwards)?

Bottom end of town near the retail parks and train station before normally, and then after the parade, dotted all around town and right in the centre out side the town hall, you really can't miss them.

Do they still not allow steam rollers to attend?
.

No steel shod engines is the rule imposed by the council, although Peter has managed a couple of times to get that rule bent as the 2 engine that i remember were road engines not agriculturals.

I answered the OP who put up the link to the transport festival and the other replies were all Extravaganza and i do know the difference between the 2 shows. My father in law is the steam organiser and mother in law the organ organiser and younger brother in law is/was safety officer, my older brother in law used to be the main organiser for the fairground etc all for the extravaganza. Also we know Len & Sandra Ricketts who organise the transport festival.

Sorry Phil, I tagged you in my response with the web address, as it was in reference to your post, on the end of my original post, to save writing two separate posts.

I think you have taken my post the wrong way, sorry if you have, it was more aimed at other people who may not know about the website, this is an forum read by a lot of people, as it hadn't been posted on the thread I thought.
