What would have caused the damage to the rear rolls on the Case?

Those Case Roller engines were convertible for traction use and those depressions are fillers in the holes for the traction spikes. That Robinson engine is a very rare unit indeed, only a couple of them left and I believe this is the only one in operating condition.

The rear wheels are not damaged. Those are the spots for the spikes.

Kevin,

Everything has the potential to be expensive to fix. Yes, you can damage an engine pulling on the weight transfer sled, but you can also damage an engine running through the parade. A bolt can slip out and break a gear. A governor belt can break and cause havoc, etc.

We've pulled our big Reeves multiple times, but we know its limits and watch for challenges.
