It is my pleasure to announce that we have arranged the visit of "Mary Marshall" for the weekend. She will be joining "Louise" as the centrepiece full size engines. "Mary Marshall" is a Marshall General Purpose engine, built in 1929 as No84679. We are so thankful to the owners of the engine at Statfold Barn for allowing "Mary" to join us for the weekend at short notice and we are sure that she will be popular. Thank you

Final Update
Hi everyone. Well, only 10 days to go until MTEW at Market Bosworth Station on the Battlefield Line. All I can say is please support us if you can. This is one of those little events that needs your support to get off the ground. I look forward to welcoming all of our valued exhibitors to the weekend and hope that we will see some TT members there! :)
For those interested in visiting the event, Gate Tickets are £4 Adult and £2 Child for Market Bosworth only. You can exchange your Gate Ticket for a Steam Train Ticket and the price will be reduced from the latter. Steam train tickets are frozen at the norm this weekend so if you ride on the train from either Shackerstone or Shenton behind GWR 2-8-0 No3803 then you see the MTEW event for free! :) Thanks everyone for all the support with exhibitors joining us and I look forward to seeing everyone over the weekend. Please bring sun! Thanks guys |
See you all THIS WEEKEND! :)
Come and say hello! |
Hope you have booked the sunshine Sam?

Finally, as a very last update, the owner of Aveling & Porter "Blue Circle" has kindly offered to steam her up for the weekend and steam her to Market Bosworth. The engine will be in steam during the weekend, ticking over in the siding at Market Bosworth for photographs :) Her loving owner will also be on hand to answer any questions about this unique rail-loco. The 2-2-0 Single worked for "Blue Circle Cement". For more info see here...
http://www.bluebell-railway.co.uk/bl...ue_circle.html "Blue Circle" will join Marshall Gen Purpose Engine "Mary" and Aveling & Porter Roller "Louise" (formerly "Stortford Roll") as the three full size "road" (except "BC"!) engines, amongst some 35 miniatures. Cheers guys :) |
Sam,
Are there going to be any trade stands at this event? I'm thinking of a model engineering nature - I need various bits and pieces including materials (brass) and nuts and bolts. Thanks in anticipation, Michael |
