The sheet on the Burrell covers everything including the Chimney, Smoke Box etc. If the engine is in steam when we put the sheet on we put an old quality street tin lid over the chimney to protect the sheet. You would never see one on a full size engine but it affords total protection from the elements when away from base.

I beg to differ -
The sheet I had made years ago for the Aveling is like a giant tea cosy.
It covers everything down to wheel hub height.
I did get the back corners with lacing though - just to make it easier to get into the footplate with it on.

As promised;

The engine has no wheels on at the moment as they are being painted, so the cover is a little 'slack' in these areas. It is laced up from the chimney down to the front.
