Astle

Well done Lee and what a cracking weekend we had, good on you lad, finished work 7 00am and straight to the rally, thats what this wonderful world of preservation is all about, although we only had 21 full size engines and 9 minatures, we had Lord Lascelles, (thanks to Alan Williams) and Renown (thanks to Howard Bros) I know I am biased, but still think Astle Park is one of the best rallies in the North West. To the Shropshire Lads who contacted me and told me their reasons for not attending, I thank you and hope you will be with us next year, to those I invited who couldn't be arsed to reply to my invitation (you know who you are) rest assured you will not be invited ever again, oh and by the way all the engines and organs were paid in full on Saturday afternoon.

Astle Park Thanks!

Hi All,

Many thanks again to Clive and Bryn for a superb rally, had a great time with the miniatures on the sunday. Great to see Terry, Alan, Alwyn, Mike, Lee, Mr Fisk too!

Fabulous day, James and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I think the worst part was 'having' to sit with the miniatures just ticking over just by the rally field and near the beer tent, sharing gossip and stories and doing the PR bit with the public, beer in one hand and regulator in' t' other!.............Bloody Awful;)...........Not!:D

Very well done everyone and damn good coal too!thumbsup

Mark, Sec, Handforth MES.

With it being a George bag I presumed Lee had treated you to some new clobber! Putting the rubbish out in my house is a job for the man of the house but I suppose Lee was still looking for his keys*cry

Great time I had on Sunday, was a bit disapointed when I was ill on Saturday, so missed one day, but made sure I attended one of the days.

Thanks Bryn. :-)

Cheers

Dave
