I am looking for some 5/8" for my half size. I am told architectural steel companies use it but I haven't found any yet (people that make gates and railings and 'stuff'). Smallest I have found on line so far is 1 1/2".

Paul.

Morning Bob
I spoken to my Steel supplier they offer a product they call handrail which is like a d section with small flats on the edges and they also offer a product called feather edge which is like the handrail but goes to a sharp Edge not too dissimilar to the beading round A Fowler tender

It's called thinking outside the box - remember - my day job for last 35 years has been steel work - look at our Marshall - half round square edge on there - don't think so !!

I bought some for my Fowler tender and extension from a closing dock yard - new/old stock. The chap told me they used to use it in the manufacture of barges. It was identical to the original Fowler edging except it was about 0.020" thinner at the fullest part.

Cheers Carl.

If you need quadrant bar, rather than 180 degree bar, look for rubbing strip or rubbing band or keel strip, all terms for the same thing for use on boats. Certainly this suits Foden cab side sheets.
