I am looking for a second hand Ifor Williams box trailer to put the Foden in.
It has to be the BV105 with ramp door or bigger.

If you have one your looking to sell or no someone that has one for sale then please PM me or ring me on 01595 696771

Cheers

Mark,

You have properly already check this but just be careful of the length, I know my Foden won't go in a twin axle Ifor williams box trailer, not sure what model number the trailer was. They will fit the trailer but you can't fully shut the door / ramp.

Hi Dave

Yeah i know it will definatly fit in a IW BV105 as i had a blueline box trailer which is the same size and the foden fitted fine in that. the bv105 is 3meters long plus the nose cone so should be plenty its the model before which is to short the bv85 which you must of tried.

I hear you saying if you had a trailer the right size why did you sell it well it didnt have a ramp door and i had to use scaffolding boards to run the foden up so i sold it thinking it would be easy to get a second hand ifor williams with ramp door, it seems i was wrong might have to buy a new one £3600

Cheers

Hi Mark,

As someone whos got a BV85, with ramp doors and winch I find it a brilliant bit of kit, just need a Motor with more grunt to pull it loaded, have a look on fleabay, theres sometimes Ifors of all sizes on there or phone round the Ifor dealers, as some of them have used examples.

Good luck in finding a nice one.
Alex

Thanks Alex

I have been watching a few on ebay, the thing that gets me is with 7 days to go people are sitting bidding away on them and when they come to the end the price is nearly the same as a new one!! why do they dont wait and bid near the end sorry rant over lol

Hi Mark,

Yeah Ebay can make you swear at times, this one 330452729286 is saying advertised elsewhere so may end at any time, so may be worth asking the question..how much?

I have to admit I spent ages trying to find a decent one, but all the older ones were roller shutters..so ours was ex demo job, after a ring round all the Ifor dealers we could find.

The combi ramp doors are a good idea, but check the rear door shoot bolts top and bottom, the pins that knobs screw onto, are prone to shearing as they can touch the ground when ramps down...ours were done under warranty..but something to look out for on an otherwise brilliant trailer.

Thank Alex i will look out for that bolts then.
I have already asked for a buy it now with the trailer you have mentioned plus i have my eye on another one on ebay.
I might have to just buy a new one the ifor williams dealer up here has quoted me £3650 and that id delivered to Shetland where if i buy a econd hand one even for £2800 it will cost me about £300/£400 depends where it is at to get it delivered to Aberdeen plus £150 on the boat to Shetland!!! the Joys of living on a Rock miles away from anywhere
