Default Portland Steam Rally

Went along to the coast to Dorset, a first time visit to the show and at iTs new site. I must say I had a good time along with 'Steamer Girl' and we both found it a very nice relaxed show A large amount of minatures on show, inlcuding a 6" Mclarren, 6" Tasker and a Half size (or more) Mann Wagon.A lot of very fine engines on show, but two stood out to me, Richard 'Turbo' Vincents Fowler and the 4" Burrell Showmans! Will be back again next year, hopefully with an engine!

I was there first time out with my 4" Burrell SCC, had a really good time, shame the weather spoilt it a bit.
Hopefully it will be held at the same venue next year.

Default portland steam & vintage show

Hi Robin,

It is great to hear you enjoyed our show at the new venue, it was a shame the weather wasn't on our side, would love to see your engine at the 2012 show. As the assistant Organiser of this rally it always helps to get feed back, we are already in the process of starting plans for next year, if anyone can help or has any advise on how to improve the show please let me know.

Just getting my 9 inch Mann Steam wagon ready for Stourpaine, if you up there pop along to see me and our steam steward Brian Burden at the minature steam section.

Thanks again for your comments
