I would like to say thank you to Clive and the team for putting on a cracking do. On top of that we had a small event of our own whilst at Quorn. As a result of my wife taking a wrong turn whilst in search of groceries she happened to discover that Beaumanor Hall was just one mile from Quorn station. I have three black and white pictures in my collection of the road gang posing against the roller at the hall on completion of the job. After a quick trip in the car to seek permissions etc, we took the old girl back to the hall to get some up to date pictures with her current crew. Incredible to think that there are nearly 80 years between the two sets of pics.

Did cause a bit of a stir with the lady on reception though. She was seriously worried we would squash their speed bumps.

Absolutely fantastic to see the old girl out again David - you, Jo, the family and the whole team have done brilliantly from what you were faced with 3 long years ago. To see 78572 back at her old stomping ground surely made all the effort worthwhile? You must bring it back this way more often now.
