Its not particularly a roller thing Ant, more that some busybody involved with the council took a dislike to steel wheels and this has perpetuated. I believe that steel wheeled vehicles were allowed on the show field, but not the town centre.
And as for a roller cracking a manhole cover, I wonder how the tarmac either side was placed..........

I do believe there was an engine on strakes there this last weekend. I also thought several rollers are now rubbered, so wondered if one would appear before long. Cheers Dave |

Certiainly looks like a great weekend at llandudno and wish I was there Great photos too...however on the subject of NO Rollers there for the reason(s) mentioned I am very surprised to see the Miniature's roaming round the Pier or whatever it is !, As I notice it is a WOODEN FLOOR surely that is a fire risk in it's self with hot cinders falling from the ash pan !.
