Default Collets

I am looking for collets to fit a Deckel/Alexander milling machine high speed head.
They were also used in the tool and cutter grinders made by Deckel/Alexander.

There are two different sorts the later ones are 20mm diameter, but it is the earlier 16mm diameter ones I want, they have an external buttress (sawtooth) thread.

Default Collets

Phil .

There used to be a guy I knew in the Cannock ( Staffs ) who rebuilt G. H. Alexander machines.
He has given up the business, but someone who worked for him is carrying on in the Wolverhampton area. He is on holiday this week but I`ll get a contact number for him next week for you. He should be able to help you or at least suggest a source for the spindle collets.

The Alexander machines were made at Precision Grinding in Mitcham, it is probably worth asking if they have any Collets still in stock.
