Default Lion Salt Works Vintage Weekend

There will be a gathering of road engines large and small along with working narrow boats over the weekend of May 1st & 2nd at the Lion Salt Works Museum along side the Trent & Mersey Canal at Marston near to Northwich in Cheshire.

The muesum was re-opend in 2015 after a major restoration project - www.lionsaltworks.westcheshiremuseums.co.uk

This is the first time that an event like this ahs been staged at the museum site and I am looking for some local engines large or small who would like to come along for the weekend, also any working narrow boats as well to celebrate the modes of transport that once served the Lion Salt Works.

Contact: Clive Hearsey on 07972 152 108 for road steam & Phil Cox on 01606 275040 for narrow boats and other exhibits

Just to keep you updated, the museum is supplying coal for visiting engines, be they road engines large or small and steam powered boats.

There are a couple of working boats and it is hoped that steam narrow boat "President" will be calling in.

Overnight camping will be available on site for those who require it.

For further information please contact Clive on 07972 152 108

Only one week to go, there are 7 minitures and 2 full sizes coming a some classic cars.

Please feel free to come along and have a look at the exhibits and take a trip around the restored Lion Open Pan Salt Works museum.
