Default Wadebridge gathering/run at "The Quarryman"

From the "Christmas + New Year in Devon" it sounds like at least a few engines and several "foreign" visitors will be converging on "The Quarryman" pub in the village of Edmonton opposite the Showground on Friday.

Is there any indication of how many engines are likely to attend at the moment? I'm hoping to come down for my Christmas "steam fix" and I know others are thinking of coming from further afield as well.
The forecast isn't looking too bad at the moment! http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/w...ime=1388102400

Sounds like it should be a good day!

Not as many as usual, I can't bring an engine this year, Geoff Westlake cannot bring the K7, The Killens are not bringing their F type A&P roller.Rob Wing is not bringing Clinker. The Hawkins family are bringing the Ransomes and Fowler roller, Princess Caroline.

Likewise with the "Cornish Maid" weather dependant, no point being on a main road for a couple of hours in bad weather !!!!

Only just saw this thread, normally very well supported road run because of locaion and previous years we have had good weather, but as Charlie has already said because of weather and other circumstances, not as many engines as usual.
We are taking 2 engines and then depending on weather as people have already said they will come along, normally a good turn out of other vehicles, tractors and commercials and it is a good pub, fingers crossed for good weather.
I shall be taking the old ERF for a spin.

I am sat here in Ivybridge on Friday morning and it is 0130am and all I can hear from outside my study is the wind and it is chucking it down with rain. It's a pity because on Boxing day the weather in the morning here was quite nice, being sunny and relatively warm.

Due to the poor weather conditions, the 3 engines from St. Columb will NOT be on the road today, the decision was made for safety reasons with the poor light and wind.
We will all still be meeting for a pint or two at lunch time,

Steve.
