Very good rally.
Notable by their absence - Musical Firewood - Peace.

Looks like we went to the wrong event.

Banbury was a shadow of its former self.

Yes I thought the steam turnout was disappointing compared to last years attendance on the number of entries. The layout was slightly better with the bigger ring on top of the hill.
(I canot compare to earlier years as had not been before last year).

I went to Banbury last year, and wished I had saved the diesel used to get there. The show had declined greatly since I visited a few years before that.
Strawberries and Steam, for a show which does not pay any expenses was a revelation - it was bl**dy hot though, so a complaint to the organisers should be made

Attended both Banbury (Saturday) and Strawberries & Steam (Sunday) and can whole heartedly agree with the previous comments. Haven't attended Banbury for 4 years and was disappointed with the turn out only 21, seem to remember 4 years ago it was 40+ . Sunday was my first visit to Strawberries & Steam and really impressed with the friendly atmosphere bringing back memories of when I first started going to rallies quite a while ago and 28 attendees as well . Well done to the Strawberries & Steam organisers on putting on a really good show, definitely one for next year.

I'm just sorting my photos from the road run on Saturday and will post them soon. It was a fabulous weekend and the weather was flipping hot!!!! Pimms and paddling pool helped though.

Default Banbury Rally.

I was very disappointed I would think it was the first Banbury rally without a showmans engine in attendance not even a roller carrying a dynamo.I think it should be renamed a tractor rally there was a lot there many modern and can still be seen working on the farms.
