Default Weald of Kent Steam Rally This Weekend 4/5 August

The Weald of Kent Rally at Ashford this weekend will see at least two firsts.

Robbie Jardine's Ottomeyer will be ploughing for the first time in 50 years.

Aveling and Porter roller 11064 "Cestria" will be appearing for the first time in Greg Luck's ownership in the restoration tent. The engine hasn't been to a rally for around 10 years and this is likely to be the only public appearance before being stripped for boiler work.

For more information on the rally go to http://wealdofkentsteamrally.co.uk/

She's a big girl alright, I stood next to her when she's pulling the plough line and the thump of cylinder went through the ground almost
It was a shame it was so hot, random fires where order of the day, you had to spend as much time looking out the back where you had come for random fires as looking forward to see where you were going.
I was at the beer tent in the evening and a 4" miniature set the grass alight under the ash pan right next to me and it was quite surprising how quick it spread, it was soon put out mind.
Brillaint rally mind just was stoopid hot which meant I dont think I took any pictures or not that many.
