Default Midland Model Exhibition 2013

Visited the show on Sunday some well know suppliers missing this year and the outside steamers again thin on the ground but some very nice models on display photos for anyone interested http://s301.photobucket.com/user/Ste...?sort=3&page=1

Any ideas why Reeves were missing & Chronos Engineering? Great show all the same.

I did enjoy the show but I do think that 4 days is a bit long for the traders. It was nice to see the working displays outside, it made a pleasant change from seeing miniatures gently ticking over (not that's there's anything wrong with that!)

I think it depends on what your selling.
At the start of day 4 a certain stand was almost wiped out of T1 cheap tool holders.
Whilst another stand I know has not changed in over 30 years and I can say I have never bought anything from them.
Just my observation the hobby is evolving, techniques improve out of new technology.

I enjoyed it muchly, spent out till next year, chin wagged till close at 4pm from 10th in the queue at door opening.

Stephen. (Minnie Builder).

According to their website, Hemingway Kits decided not to go on the basis of the costs and so on, however... they have offered a good discount for orders placed by friday night.

Rather sad, nice to meet people, missed seeing Kirk and Sandra, but it must cost a lot when you take transport, hotesl as well as stand costs.

I went on thursday, just far too crowded for comfort, 200 mile round trip will not go again, prefer the Model Engineer exhibition at Sandown.

A colleague who attended at the weekend said that it was less busy than during the week. Maybe it's the retired fraternity attending during the working week to avoid the week end crush?
