Default Full size Ruston proctor sd tractor drawings or castings

Does anyone know if there are any full size castings, patterns or drawings for the full size Ruston proctor sd tractor?

Thanks Ross

You need to speak to Peter Flitcroft (Facebook him he's also into tractors) he's building one at the moment and does have some patterns. There was another set of patterns which were the ones used for the 4 engines either completed or under construction but they have just changed hands and I'm not sure who the new owner is but I wouldn't be surprised somebody on here will probably be able to tell you.

Not quite what you want but I'm sure David Ragsdale of Ragsdale's Patterns does a set of castings for his small Foster Wellington, Abigail, which is around the same size as an SD. PM me if you want putting in touch

James

Default RUSTON SD

Brian Allison has just alerted me to this post. I bought the patterns that were used by Colin Dix to build Warrior. They were made by Alan Davenport. I have also had additional patterns made as the person who I bought the project off was not prepared to sell the patterns that he had to me. These were then sold on to a chap called Ollie Mullis who intends to build a SD as well. I am in contact with Ollie via facebook. Steve Baldock from Steam Traction World researched the drawings to the Ruston SD and I have a copy of these which is what Brian is working to. Copies of the original works drawings are available from Ray Hooley the Ruston Archivist.

I have a list of my patterns and also Ollies as a screenshot but I have no idea how to upload them on to here.

Make contact with Andy Smith on here too (andy_smith) - send him a PM - he knows a bit about the Ruston SD.
