Default Rally in the Valley 2014

Smaller event than in the past that said something for most visitors, Most of Saturday lost through heavy rain but the Sunday was a very nice day. An interesting half size Canadian TE on show with other miniatures photos for anyone interested http://www.blackcountrysteam.co.uk/r...0valley_14.htm

Yes; a small town event held on rugby pitch and surrounding grounds, tight for space especially for large and heavy exhibits. A big change from previous two years on quite extensive sites. Was set up in very little time as organisers had previously announced a year off. Weather was horrendous almost all of Saturday requiring shelter of living van or rugby pavilion; a few hardy souls still had steam up but the "crowds" were thin. Sunday was blessed with great weather and site situated between major visitor car park and town meant lots of punters at a mere £2 a head. Organiser has sent me some photos and suggests similar event will be held again next year. Made quality new contacts even at this quite modest event.
