Default GDSF 2018 - Scrapyard and others in restoration

As there have been a number of queries about the scrapyard area I thought it might be useful to post what I have. A number of the portables were different from what was listed in the programme and some I couldn't find a makers number on, so any help with these would be much appreciated.

The Garrett PE in the scrapyard, has T46 painted on it. This was a numbering system used by Preston Services. Although unidentified, it is in the Traction Engine Register as UP79.
Marshall TE, without front wheels, I was told 37734, another from Preston Services, appears on back of current Old Glory.

The left of the 3 portables was Ransomes, Sims & Jeffries 6NHP Portable Engine No. 21570 as in programme assuming the makers plate on the back is correct (I took a close up photo of the plate for reference).

Looking at the engines at the far end from left to right am I right that you are saying they are:

Marshall TE 37734 (that tallies with Preston services ad photo etc without front wheels)

Allchin Road Loco 1441?

Aveling Ploughing Engine 6547 (that tallies with Preston services ad photo etc)

Fowler 7857?

Fowler 11300?

Wallis 7411 (have photo of the makers plate for that one)

The ones with ? are ones where I didn't get details myself so would love confirmation as to their ID

Now I can see the photos in the thread it has answered my question, so sorry for asking the obvious!

The Hornsby portable I think is the same one advertised on Preston's web site

http://prestonservices.co.uk/item/ho...8nhp-portable/

No. 1531

looking at my photos and there's and comparing what can only be unique things such as defects round the edge of the smoke box door etc they are the same as far as I can tell

The vertical boilered pumping engine was sold at the Philp sale in 1994(?). I was underbidder on the day. It looks like it has been untouched ever since.

A nice bit of kit, but the bottom of the boiler was goosed and the engine and pump were seized solid.

The MS&Co traction is an ex Tasmanian engine, 18/09/1902, scrapped in 1966. Very interesting safety valve casting for this date of engine, for sad people like me that is ......
