I have now got round to uploading more videos from this event. I was hampered by dull overcast weather and a gusty wind that had a marked effect on the sound quality in places. However here is my 2 penneth:-

The end of Saturdays parade at the entrance to the industrial estate which contains V8-Spider's Timberyard.

With some of the movement within the timberyard.
[IMG][/IMG]

Sunday morning steam up at the traction engine owner's camping area within the timberyard, including Doreen's first driving experience of my Durham & North Yorkshire 2 inch miniature.
[IMG][/IMG]

Around 4pm Sunday afternoon and the engines leave the display area to take part in the Grand Parade

Then the Grand Parade taken from the Churchyard at the bottom of Church Street. It starts with the commercial lorry display

Time for my photographic contribution. Here are a selection of both Doreen & my views of this most friendly gathering.
We start with a sort of Rogues Gallery/men at work

Then on the Sunday morning, the area that the general public do not usually see - the engine stabling area

Doreen caught me talking!

We just could not ignore this interesting breakfast stove!

A new slant on dog-walking - Fudge taking an engine walkies!!!!

Little & large perhaps?

Finally some of the standard views in the display area.

After a lengthy discussion with "Celtic Steamer" and in in depth look at the deep firebox throat-plate and the huge deep firebox. Bearing in mind the area that the engine spent most of its working life, we are sure this is one of the few survivors of the engines built specifically to burn peat. Which could be the reason the its owner "Blackjack" says it is a very good steamer on coal. Then with the huge deep firebox and 12ft 6ins to the chimney top I am not surprised the fire draws well!

Some people will find any excuse to stop work and talk!

A big one I have not seen before.
