Default Foxfield Steam Railway Traction Engine party

We went to this over the weekend, I think the event was really on Today. We drove over on saturday morning, and on to Klondyke this evening. Some photos for you to enjoy.

Mr Dakin had a pair of Paxman portables on site, this is the rusty one.

And this is the shiny one. Burning wood all day today he had no need to chop any wood, the bits too long for the rusty one were simply put in the shiny one.

Mr Williamsons Sentimentinel also roaded over on the Saturday

As did a rather splendid Fowler

Some others either came the weekend before or were already on site.

While some macho enginemen were swilling beer in the pub on the saturday evening

others were.... well I think you can guess!

Messrs Clarke roaded over on the Sunday

As did Messrs Jeffs in their splendid Albion. I was kindly invited to try out the seat, but took no pictures.

And another Savage for you boys to oggle. This one is soon to look as good as the last one seen on the trailer, it is already mechanically as nice and has been in service all summer.

Yes, 4 or 5. Tez was there on Sunday.

One made it to the pub on the saturday evening carrying more people on trailers than were on my trailer!.

I only took a couple of pictures, this super Marshall outfit

and this Burrell, whos owner was very kind and I think just about any child who showed an interest got a ride or a drive/steer.

I keep being told by my eldest that one would be better than a pony......

Keep finding myself agreeing.

Jerry was a star all weekend with kids, the little Burrell did some miles.
