If I remember correctly many of the travellers evaporated into thin air faster than the water that year...

The Inside Park campsite at Blandford Forum isn't too far away obviously, always used to stay there and go to the rally, yes you aren't on site so to speak but may be useful

There is high demand for the alternative camping too.

When I arrive by car early in the morning I have seen people squeezed into unlikely places, lay-bys, Verges, (even next to roundabouts) Farmers fields ETC.

Hotels are difficult too, I haven't booked yet as I am having a minor operation today.

Morning all,

So having never done the pay on day camping, as I'm normally in pre booked etc. What is it like up there, I don't mind rough ground etc but Is it full of travellers etc?

Pay on day camping is usually Tents only or sleep in your Car, you can't choose your neighbours, mine have always been OK.
