Lightbulb 110v Dynamo for Showmens Tractor.

Hi All,

Someone I know, who is looking for bits for his recent purchase. Is now looking for a Mawdsley style dynamo, running at 110v around 60 amp for his Garrett 4CD Showmens Tractor. As the one fitted it not really correct & would like a more power.

If anyone can help, please PM or email me through T.T

Many thanks,

Dan

60 amps at 110volts equates to 6.6KW,, Allowing for belt slip, copper and iron losses it may well take 15-20 BHP to generate this power so not that far out for the engine in question.

With the right dynamo e.g. 110volt 100 amps @ 800 RPM would about right, 4DC when fitted up by Garrett's had either 80 or 100 amp jobs fitted. Anything much above 120 amps continuous load proves to be too much,

Having had my 4CD for many years I speak from some experience

Have you had a look at Preston Services? There are a few there in varying sizes and conditions - http://www.prestonservices.co.uk/dynamos.html
