Having had a great day on the Saturday - our 1st visit to Welland, our videos are now available on You Tube.

They start with the huge single cylinder Gardner diesel.

See them at:-

LOL, you still miss the point.

They don't do it very well.

You've got hot under the collar because a number of us have commented on how bad the programme is.

You criticised us for pointing this out and you have asked if we can do better.

I can assure you that I can, certainly with regards to the steam entries.

I have also given you my rate for doing so.

If you or the club care not about the programmes quality, stop getting steamed up about us who criticise. We are not telling lies.

If you and or the club do care about its quality, I have given you an opportunity to improve it.

Put up or shut up.

I asked if you can do better for the same rate as they do i.e. free of charge or if you simply prefer to sit on your backside whining about it.

The reason I get hot under the collar is because its very easy to do as you do and carp on about the efforts of others who are working for free and clearly for little if no thanks while not matching their efforts and simply sitting there saying must do better.

When youve tried as hard for the same rewards i.e. no reward then feel free to comment on others until then as you say put up or shut up!

I have offered help to this event in the past.

Ignored.

I have asked to attend with my engine.

Ignored.

No its not sour grapes.

The Pirate made a valid point.

Its the production of a ropey programme that is the issue, not the event.

You want help with it next year? Get in touch......... but I suspect I'll be ignored and it will be much the same as ever.

I would be interested in doing the steam entries for the programme, for this or any other event. No charge.

So would I. Having done it more than once in the 1960s as a schoolboy I am sure I could manage it again.
No charge? Of course no charge - after all it is a hobby and the organisers put in many hours of FREE time to put on such an event.
It really is up to us to help rather than complaine after the event!

Down this way the exhibiter provides the information of the exhibit when completing the entry form.
Not fool proof, but on the whole seems to work fairly well.

Perhaps if you rang the relavent steward about entering you might get in. Your certainly not going to get an ivite by having a go at them on an internet forum.
