I would like a Fowler plough van either to restore or ready to go, so my Allen is for sale. It has been largely reboarded in the past and has partly original interior and some extras. A water tank fitted underneath with a 12v system to pump water up through an instant gas heater for the sink tap and also a shower fitted into a corner cupboard. Gas and electric lights. Gas 12v fridge. Sink and two gas rings plus grill all built in. 2 bunks, cupboards desk etc. The desk has a fall front that is exactly the correct height for a glass of scotch for the occupant of the bottom bunk.
Sliding shutters over windows. Wooden steps.
I took it off the original wheels and turntable etc ( these go with it) and dropped it onto a slightly stretched Rubery Owen army trailer chassis, this gives it excellent ride and very good brakes capable of holding back the engine on hills.
Belly box and storage at rear under bunks accessed from two hatches externally.
I have used this van for years and it is eminently practical, usable and comfortable. £8k.
