Steam on the Docks - Liverpool - Traction-Talk

To celebrate the Daniel Adamson Steam Tug nearing completion the society are throwing a bit of a bash. In conjunction with the 'Danny' being relaunched and opened to the public the celebrations will continue over the full weekend thanks to the creation of Steam on the Docks; a steam rally right in the heart of Liverpool (ish), Albert Docks.

Details will be released over the next few weeks but for now all I can tell you is to keep your diary clear for the weekend 6th-8th of May.

The event is a first so it may take a little fettling and be slow to warm up but i'm sure the team behind it will get there.

I've posted this in the hope that it will gather momentum and to spread the word. If anyone from the Danny wants to chip in then by all means go for it.

Just in case you didn't know, there is an excellent picture of a Burrell double headed with a Fowell-Box traction engine towing a very large ships boiler in Liverpool docks.
