Default Leigh Arms

Great event , sorry no Photos , but it had the largest number of engines ever 23 I beleive. The hosts made us all welcome and should be commended for a relaxed weekend of fun. Well Done Joe and the team.

It was indeed a great weekend, good weather both days and we had a good trip over on the Friday. Unfortunately as usual I took not a single photograph so I will have leave that to someone else !.

Went to the Holly bush with the roller on the Saturday which was my first visit there with an engine since er.........a few years back

Also looking for some photos to be posted by those that took them - you know who you are.

Unfortunately we did the Hollybush circle on the Sunday and no one was about on the run. There were a number of people taking pictures of the small gap we got Jane through on the road next to the pub caused by a very inconsiderate yellow Fiat and something else half on and half off the grass on the other side making a gap that even the cars coming off the field were struggling to get through!!

OK here we go, its been more than two weeks and I've only just got around to looking through my photos from the Leigh Arms last night.

This year I went on the Sunday only and didn't get there until about midday so probably missed most of the action. i didn't really get many photos of the engines on the car park as I spent most of the time on the bridge getting the engines as they were leaving - ill put them on tomorrow!

Hope it was worth the wait
Ben

Default On the road

Part 2 of my photos showing some of the engines leaving the Leigh arms by road. Most were taken on the swing bridge except for the third photo.

A couple of hours after they had left I went after the Allison family and their Aveling tractor 'Oberon'. I caught up with them on the outskirts of Whitchurch where they were taking on water. After enquiring about their route I found a spot in the town before following them back to Whixall. I was quite pleased to get some shots of this engine on the road as I missed them after Malpas.

Cracking photo's Ben. Many thanks for posting. We went on the Saturday but left the camera at home, doctors orders, I think it was the best Leigh Arms ever.
