Post 4" Fowler plans wanted

> I am looking for information to assist me in purchasing a complete set of plans for a Fowler BB1 compound ploughing engine. Preferably in 4" scale, but if unable to buy in 4", then in another size that I can rescale.

I believe that Brunnel have plans for the John Haining 2" engine (I have no connection).

Thank you for your response Doug. I had looked at their page and didn't think their Fowler Z7S or Superba ploughing engines represented the Fowler BB1 compound. Also they list "drawings", but couldn't find working plans. Anyway I have now sent them an email asking about the availibility of plans. Thank you for your interest. regards, Kevin Stiller.

Colin Tyler's son Neil is in the process of setting up business to once agin produce the models that his father and John Haining designed.

There will be the 2" BB1, 6 Furrow Plough, Derby Digger and the Kitson & Hewitson slant shaft ploughing engine

I think he's an occasional member here but has recently been posting on Model Engineers site so you could contact him via there.

Up until recently Blackgates sold the BB1 drawiongs but I understand they lost/misplaced the originals in a recent move

There is an agreement between Brunell and Neil so you may also be able to source the that way but probably better going straight to Neil.

You may also want to contact this Guy, hes thinking of doing a 3" or 4" BB1
