Default Bedfordshire Steam Fayre - Friday

A selection of pictures from Old Warden today, it was overcast but dry and plenty of engine movement. Some new engines I had not seen too and a few changes to the site layout. I look forward to going back again later in the weekend.

Took the family and had a wonderful time. A huge number of engines spread over the site and kids were desperate to go on steam yachts, unfortunately they needed adult supervision.....

Wonderful photos as always David, mine were pants also as usual.

And did you provide the supervision or did they miss out?

I see that Burrell 4019 has lost both it's original cast iron smokebox door ring and now appears to be named after either a second rate beer from Sharps brewery or a sandbar off the coast of Cornwall.

No accounting for taste!

Looks like the valve chest covers could do with de-rusting too!

First time visit to Old Warden and we all loved it, despite the weather. What a line up of engines!

Britannia.. it was really lovely to see her again, the 'changes' aren't to my taste but there you go. 'Doombar' bloody appalling stuff.
